It runs significantly better than totk at least. I finished it on yuzu on my deck and it wasn't too bad. A lot of work was put into polishing botw in anticipation of totk. Now for some reason totk on yuzu doesn't seem to get much work put into it? It's not just performance, various visual glitches have not been addressed.Question regarding steam deck fps. I just got my pair of xreal air’s for my steam deck and I’ve seen the threads about it being locked to 30 fps and needing the firmware updated to correct this. However straight out of the box when I use mine with the steam deck with the performance overlay on it still reads as 60 fps.
In particular TotK runs on outdated hardware without some sort of DLSS frame gen technology. What’s seriously going to affect TotK is the frames being below 30 fps and the resolution feeling like a 480p at best. For comparison both Mihoyo’s games run like magic, I don’t know how they do it but it just works.

TOTK Steam Deck best settings *UPDATE*. For future readers, 3.5 is a significant and massive performance boost. SMT is broken in os 3.4, and that's been confirmed by both valve AND amd, it's also confirmed it specifically hits emulators the hardest. Op is right though in saying it's at your own risk.
This will probably not be necessary anymore when SteamOS 3.5 is released though. Most games benefit from putting an upper limit on CPU frequency at between 3000 and 3200 MHz. For demanding games you can also put a lower limit on the GPU at 1200 MHz. But currently only version 1.3.0 will actually restore this setting when launching a game. The game runs like dog shit even on its native console but I could see It running better on Steam Deck after a few optimization updates and such. Native TOTK on Switch is 30 fps while docked. These 3 mods are causing crashes. Guys do not update if the game runs fine for you already, screen patchnotes when you do update so you dont update into a version that breaks ur game.
