Ram 2500 stuck in 4th gear.
Aug 2, 2014 · I have a 6-speed automatic transmission. The transmission went to 4th and skidded the tires significant enough to create smoke from the tires. Downshifting from 6th to 4th at 65 (or even 75+) mph shouldn't cause the tires to lock up. It might cause a 1500 +/- rpm jump, but that should be nowhere close to tire lockup.

Oct 5, 2013 · Ram Year. 2016 Ram 2500. Engine. Hemi 6.4 4.10. I was towing ~7000 lbs and going down a 2 mile grade @50mph. Truck was in tow/haul mode and had 5th gear selected. Braking down the grade toward bottom of grade transmission down shifted to 2nd gear and rpm was ~4700. Once on flat ground I attempted to accelerate to up shift which it did not.
