Hi, My 2001 LB7 with 202k miles has suddenly started cranking for about 5-6 seconds before starting. It never took that long before. The injectors and FPR were all replaced at 100k. It does this hot or cold, or if I wait for the glow plugs or not. Change the fuel filter often, the Duramax fuel system is fed by suction from the fuel tank and the slightest filter plugging will starve and overwork the fuel pump. The newer 17 models finally use a fuel boost pump to correct the starve issue.
