Pyro is my favorite magic school. Its totally viable for PVE and PVP. Its hard to start a PVE pyro just because of a lack of spells and flame strength. If you take the time to have a nice arsenal and some attunement you can dominate anything. The beauty of pyromancy is the variation of spells and its ability to very good in all situations. At the very least, 24 for 4 spell slots. Unless you feel like you need to use only 2 spells (Chaos Bed Vestige is too good to pass imo). If going for 4, might as well go 30ATN for 5 slots. Vestiges and Chaos Orb are incredible spells that complement each other and useful depending on who you're fighting.
