May 3, 2020 · I have a cub cadet model 782 for sale. It has a Kohler 17hp Series II engine with a 44” mowing deck. Always garaged and did not sit out in weather. Still runs and cuts grass. Runs rough because oil getting into carb from crankcase breather valve. Many recently replaced parts including coil, front tire, seat, and battery. Asking $550.
Jul 26, 2011 · Depress the brake and turn the key, nothing. It wouldn't turn over or anything. I took the switch out and put a test light on it and wasn't getting power to the solenoid when key was turned. Cleaned the contacts on the switch and on the harness plug abs still nothing then one time it started right up.

When put the hydro under a load the shafts slips. An easy check is to Watch the pump shaft that comes out the rear of the pump. It should spin with the even when you stop the tires.
