For the past week I have been having issues where the Spectrum modem keeps dropping the internet connection. At first, it was once or twice a day and the connection would drop for about 5 to 10 minutes before reconnecting. Starting yesterday the frequency increased, and this morning it was dropping about every 5-10 minutes.

If the router isn't locked down, put 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.254 in your browser and you should get the router admin pages. 192.168.100.1 may get you the modem admin, but in my experience it does not work with Spectrum modems. Some devices are capable of using either band, but don't need the extra bandwidth available on the 5g band, so we prefer to isolate them to 2.4g.. Sometimes we need to use 5g to avoid certain interferences (like microwaves, etc.)
