The lower falls falls are 308 feet high which is twice the height of Niagra Falls. It is the largest volume waterfall in the Rocky Mountains. This was a pleasant hike for us lots of shade, but we are experienced hikers. For the occasional hiker or non-hiker it could prove to be moderately strenuous.
