Thats depends on hull a little. Horizontal allows for curves in the hull should you choose to adjust brackets and allow that. Either way weight is right where the brackets are so vert or hor works. A real heavy boat perhaps vert allows a little more support from bunks between brackets but still transferring to brackets. Like.Guides - both have titanium guide frames.
