The lever to engage and disengage (yellow handle) the Mid PTO gets jammed between the ramps and the backhoe subframe. The mower deck level adjustment connection points on the deck also make contact with the backhoe subframe. Sometimes the dial will get stuck and be real stubborn. You may have to take a vise grip pillars to the dial shaft to break it loose. I had to do that to mine once. Just make sure that your mower deck is raised all the way to the top and also make sure that you are turning the dial to a lower number. You cannot go from 4, past top.
