Since 1997 we have owned a Kinze 12/23 2600, a JD 1790 16/32, a Kinze 3600 16/32, & am currently running a CIH 1240 24x20" planter. For simplicity the 2600 Kinze was the best and did a good job of singulating seeds but you had to watch grade sizes as a too large or small of bean would cause problems & you'd have to change seed plates.the skipper. JD 1780 planter questions. I have been thinking about buying a JD 1780 planter with the interplant option, 16-30"corn, 31-15"soybean rows. My main concern is the trash flo ability of the planter. We do chop our cornstalks, then hit them with DMI 530 in the fall.
