It's a much easier fix. you just undo the line, cut off the bad part by the end and re-attach.

If it were mine, i would run new line from the front to the rear for both the supply and the return lines. The second vent line should run to the "out" side of the fuel filter. Your fuel filter should have two ports on one side of it; one goes to the carb and the other to the vent on the gas tank.
