Allis Chalmers WD distributor. So guys I'm in need of some help/parts. So I have a 1950 Allis Chalmers WD my grandpas uncle bought new. Here we are nearly 70 years later and I now own it, have restored it and take it to local shows and such. It has been converted to 12 volt with a 1 wire alternator. Now to where I need help.

Been using it now for 3yrs, and this year was my first year to use the WD for pushing snow, we're talking about single digit temps and no problems with my hydraulics at all.

Some kits come with small clips to hold the front and rear gasket during installation. The A.C part number is 70229177 and when I did mine last summer it was a big help. Don and other members are right on about the can trick for getting those gaskets to work.

There's nothing inside the oil cap. Also anti freeze level seems normal. There isn't any milky foam at the end of the breather hose. Oil change WD45. Did an oil and filter change on my old tractor. Doesn't get used much so has been a few years since I did it. Used Shell rotella 15-40 but the older spec oil in the black pail. New filter from Agco. Really brought the oil pressure up - now constant on the high end of the gauge. Sep 6, 2010. #1. I now have a D-17 and it has no filler by the governor like my WD and WD-45 so it has to be filled at the breather on top of the valve cover. Of course, its a lot easier because the hood panel comes off rather easily. Like someone said, it all ends up down in the oil pan anyway.
