Sep 8, 2023 · Shard Grand Dragon. you need 20k Fleet. but if you attack with your entire Fleet you will loose a lot of ships, and the AI is programmed to attack you if yyour fleet is greatly reduced, so you need way more than 20k to ensure AI doesnt activate against you when you attack. I'd say Shard is roughly equal in strengh to the Ether Drake. Around 30k fleet power should work fine, unless maybe if your loadouts are totally crappy. 15k (maybe even less) are enough if you hard-counter it. It has no shields (only armor+hull) => use Plasma weapons. It has only anti-armor weapons => use only shields. I usually wipe the floor with Shard using a fleet of torpedo corvettes around 25-30k fleet power. Shard has a powerful beam weapon that does a massive amount of damage to a single target. If all you have are corvettes, the vast majority of the damage Shard can deliver is wasted on a single expendable corvette while he gets pummeled by the rest.

Playing Ironman Stellaris and completed the Rubricator Event Chain and somehow got 2 shard dragons and 2 rubricators though only one remained. At least I managed to see the 2 outcomes of killing the shard dragon.

Due to the broken regeneration, it regenerates 2100 Armor and 1500 Health per Day. In 3.3 regeneration was stopped on receiving hits.
