Like the old saying, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. That's good advice. If you're happy with the muzzleloader right now, then don't change anything. However, switching to a 209 primer WILL allow you to use Blackhorn 209 as a propellant. If you're interested in doing that, then by all means make the switch.

The 209 conversion I have for my mk's is a 209 plunger, and a 209 breechplug (that accepts the red disc w/209). Depends on who you talk to whether they prefer #11's or 209's.
