But there are really only 2 different sets. MEC sure did get confusing on this one, because the part numbers for the pre-82 600 jr die set and the 83-85 set are the same (8335XX). On the other hand, Ballistics Products uses 1983 as the crossover point and lists the newer style die set (8452XX) for anything after 1983.
The MEC 600 uses a ring resizer, as does Hornaday & RCBS, and P_W resizes by pressing the hull into a sleeve that carries it all the way through the reloading cycle. Not sure what Spolar or Dillon does, but think they do similar. All metallic (rifle/ pistol) reloaders use the same principle as the ring sizer.MEC 28 Ga.
