How to open the trunk of a chevy malibu.
The trunk relay caused the trunk to open on its own it's. It has nothing to do with the remote. When they change out the relay for a 2 shot relay, the problem is fixed. The relay is bad, nothing is done with the remote. I kept being told that the car is operating as designed when the trunk was opening randomly.

It happened to me one morning when I arrived at work: the top end of one of the struts broke and got wedged between the "skin" of the trunk lid and the lid's "frame". Consider folding down the back seat seatbacks and crawling into the trunk on your back with a flashlight. Good luck.
Towards the bottom there is a rotation pin on each side of the fuse box. Push the two tabs in and pull the top of the fuse box out. It will rotate on the two lower pins.
