Oct 9, 2008 · The mileage actually went up with this setup even though it is running a little rich - Stock was about 39-42 now it's more like 44-49 (tooling along at 45-55 is about the best-lower at highway speeds). I am a big guy with a big windshield, too. Lean isn't the key to better fuel mileage. Getting the bikes most efficient horsepower will help.
Jun 30, 2010 · Scuba77. E10= 10% ethanol is what was mandated here in the States and it's like putting rice in a meatloaf, it's a filler. Ethanol has fewer BTU's than 100% gas. Most of us here have seen fewer miles to the gallon and slightly less power using the stuff, your bike probably thinks it's now burning too lean.
