It was explained to me as recon armor being one quality level lower than marine armor. So like “good” recon armor is as good as “normal” marine armor. Recon armor is superior. Discussion. It doesn’t have the same protection as marine armor, cataphract or shit even flak vests. Unlike flak armor it’s covers the entire body with some still very solid stats. With a good crafter you can get some high quality armor with even better stats that are pretty close to marine armor.

I’m new to fo4 and saved up 80,000 caps to get the recon marine armor only to discover there’s no legs and I’m stuck with the normal assault marine ones. The armor set feels incomplete so I came up with an idea to console command an effect on each leg of my current assault marine set, rename it and remove the appropriate 14,000 caps per leg.
