A hive prince eats 50 nourishment at 250 hunger, he gets 100 ticks up and 100 ticks down. Human 50 nourish = 100 hunger ticks. Hive 50 nourish = 200 hunger ticks. Which is great if you want the to work behind closed doors. Hive Worker would be better. 0.45 hunger rate, and they get a bonus to labouring instead of a penalty.
In combat my soldiers Block and Taunt the enemy, the hive princes snipe and my workers generally do the outflanking and killing with naginatas. This works well for me, once the fight swings in my favour the soldiers drop Block and aid the workers in pushing the advantage.
