On my Gen4, I've had two mag catches and springs replaced due to excessive wear of the catch and the notches in the mags. Mags would fall out upon firing the gun.

The right side of the ambi safety occasionally irritated me, but 5 min with the dremel and it's nice and softly rounded... no longer an issue at all. I opted for a 43X instead. It is worth mentioning though that the 30SF is actually the inferior .45 in Glock’s catalog. A better alternative for self-defense carry would be the Glock 30S which combines the slimmer frame and capacity of the 30SF with the thinner frame of the G36 (a pistol that was good but lacked sufficient capacity).
I've had the 3" xds .45 and still have a 30s. I didn't care for the feel of the Xds and I didn't like the trigger. The 30s felt much better to me and was naturally easier to control with follow ups. Once I had some time with the 30s I traded the xds. The way they both carry is close enough that twice the capacity in the 30s is the way to go imo.
After a side-by-side comparison, the Model 30SF really isn't a lot bigger than the Model 39 or Model 36. A little wider than the Model 36 and a bit taller and longer than the Model 39.
