Preferred to shoot without the sleeve. My G21 magazine has a +2 extender for a total of 15 rounds and zero malfunctions in the 30 SF.

I find that the 21 has a little heavier trigger pull than the 30, which may be a characteristic of this gun only. However, I find them both about equally accurate. I do most of my dryfiring with the 21 because of the heavier trigger pull.The G29 can be easily converted to shoot .40S&W with a barrel swap for better economy. Others have reported successfully using the 10mm-40S&W conversion barrel in the G30 as well. There are many options to consider. I've had both the 21 and the SF, as well as the 30 and SF. Aside from the way they fit my hand, I could find no difference. Accuracy and reliability are on par throughout the four. As for any real differences, you would have to explore the Generation 3's and 4's. The best defense is a good offense, and I'm really offensive.

Gen 3 21 has a larger grip diameter. The gen 4 21 has the optional backstraps, with no backstrap installed the frame dimensions are the same as an SF frame. The 30sf has a shorter grip length than a 21. Might I suggest a g30S, same size frame as the 30sf, but has a slimmer slide ( same slide as a G36). The slimmer slide is easier to carry IWB. 4.ku4hx. My 30SF had problems going fully into battery when new: generally one round out of each mag. Seems the little extension the impinges on the firing pin safety was rubbing the frame.
