PPTO is use for day of or days already passed. Never use PPTO early to get off early or come in late. Use it on the day of, that way it cannot be denied and it is auto approved by the system. Also you cannot be coached for using PPTO. Never put PPTO in ahead of the day you want to use it. It will probably get denied.

You'll only need enough to cover your shift - if it's 9 hours with a lunch scheduled, you'll use 8 hours.
