My wife went a route that made it so that the Cragheart wasn’t adjacent to monsters a lot, so playing the ‘standard’ single-target high damage melee Scoundrel was often difficult. Personally, I prefer to create a ranged destruction squad with the SW's summon and Cragheart's Backup Ammunition, putting out 4 ranged attacks every round. The obstacle build isn't very effective until you hit lvl 4 and take Rock Slide. That card by itself makes any 'build' viable. Avalanche and Rock Tunnel are mediocre. Growth is a trap, move 4 and low initiative is what cragheart lacks. I play on the hardest difficulty and Explosive Punch is just so much better. Sentient Growth looks good, but does too little on higher difficulty. Just my opinion. Also, I always read that people don't like long rests and see them as losing a turn. This is the build that I played and the one that this Summoner guide focuses on. I played my Summoner in a 4 player Gloomhaven group that already had a tank, a melee damage dealer and a crowd controller.
