Bates campus is a bit compact while Kenyons is more expansive. After spending a weekend at Kenyon my son felt more comfortable with his decision to choose Bates. They are both excellent schools so you can’t go wrong really. Kenyon College Academics. Kenyon College requires at least 16 units to graduate with a bachelor's degree. There is no accelarated degree program at Kenyon College, but students who wish to save money or graduate early can look into transferring in credits. Kenyon College accepts transfer credits. The school accepts AP credit and IB credits.Kenyon is also a strong science school and has the most beautiful campus of the three. Oberlin is more out there (think Reed college) but has a well known music program.
