T1 items only have a base Collection Value of 1, and a Legendary item gives 5x the bonus. You're only going to get 5 points in the book when you finally get yourself a legendary Squire Sword. Donating a T6 item meanwhile gives 3 base points so a Flawless item from this tier will give you more points (much easier) than grinding out a Legend T1.
