I remember my first ST - the Focus ST170 - it was one of the 1st ones on a 52 plate in silver (2002) and wilth all of the available Custom + Comfort option packs + spoiler including the lovely heated Recaros! It was a cheap man's RS at the time (as had 30+% Ford discount) but very thirsty! The ST's 2.3-litre engine feels like a substantial upgrade from the last ST's donk. This is brawny and well behaved low down; it actually makes more torque than the not-for-Aus’ 2.0-litre diesel ST.
