I usually find that it happens when I leave the vehicle and walk away quickly. If I wait for a moment to hear the first beep then walk away it is fine. Sort of defeats the purpose of the function as it would probably be faster to just tap the handle and lock the car directly. williamsji.

A lack of beeping/lights doesn’t help in that situation. If I just blithely leave my fob on the seat, shut the door, and walk away, I want the car to yell at me to come back and get the key.
