It is possible to do without pulling the dash right out, but all the bolts need to be undone, and the center console out. Also, the EL heater box is exactly the same.If it were ME, I would pull the HVAC box completely out, replace the avaporator and reinstall the HVAC box. Otherwise there are several screws you have to take out beside the valve cover an firewall that are a pain to get to. There are 5-6 nuts behind the glove box and the whole thing comes out. Much easier IMO.
